Subj: TURKS POULTRY – NON-HALAL PRODUCTION
We have been informed by Turks Poultry that in view of insufficient Halal Slaughter men employed at Turks, the poultry production with effect from today (3 June 2021) will be declared as Non-Halal until further notice. Accordingly, all packaging of the Non-Halal chickens produced by Turks will be pasted with the “Non-Halal” stickers.
In view of the above, we would like to inform our community that they should avoid purchasing Turks’ products until further notice.
Please be informed that Turks Poultry has been strictly following the guidelines as required by FIANZ. Their product is consistently in conformity with our Halal requirement and standards. It is a standard procedure that if there were insufficient Halal Slaughter men working at the plant, production of the day will be downgraded to Non-Halal.

Q: Is the chicken Halal compliant?
A: Our Business is 100% Halal compliant. If however (on the rare occasion) we cannot follow the correct process to maintain the integrity of our certification we ensure we label every product that would be deemed non-halal. If product is free of this sticker, the product is 100% Halal.
Q: Which Halal association are you accredited with?
A: Turk’s full range of pre-packaged products are Halal certified by The Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand (FIANZ).
