Al-Ameen Vacancies
Al-Ameen has grown rapidly since it was established in March 2016 with less than 30 families. Today we serve over 300 community members from all sorts of ethnicities and backgrounds.
We are now looking for a few new trustees to join the team and work for our vibrant community in Wellington. We have vacancies for three portfolios as listed below, and hope to recruit new people who are energetic and dedicated to contribute to the running of Al-Ameen for the benefit of the community.
Education & School
To develop a holistic education plan, and to promote educational projects or activities to help the younger Muslim generation to grow with Al-Ameen.
To coordinate the running of Sunday School and ensure it caters to the needs of the younger Muslim generation in the community.
To liaise with the coordinator of Al-Ameen Islamic School (AIS) and help in the day to day running of the school.
Property & Maintenance
To coordinate all matters regarding day to day maintenance of Al-Ameen current premises.
To keep track of supply and material inventories for Al-Ameen logistics.
To develop maintenance plans and follow up on their implementation.
To help delegate maintenance tasks to the rest of the team, and find relevant vendors and service providers.
Sisters Affairs
To engage and connect with Muslim women in our community and provide for the specific needs of sisters in our community, by creating a space that is safe and welcoming for worship and sisterhood.
To promote a sense of belonging for sisters in the community.
To help create more opportunities for sisters to get involved, through organizing and facilitating events & activities (educational, spiritual and social) that will be of benefit to all age groups.
